What the app stores
Repository paths, remotes, branches, monitoring progress, recent updates, pinned repositories, ignored author lists and preferences such as language and sound are stored locally. Imported sounds are copied locally. For compatibility, development builds use ~/Library/Application Support/Git Updater Voice/. The sandboxed store build stores data in its macOS app container, with folder-access bookmarks in system preferences.
Network connections
Git connects to the remotes of the repositories you select, using their Git configuration. Development builds use installed Git. The store build bundles Git and needs system permission for repository and SSH folders; external credential tools remain subject to sandbox restrictions.
Git Knock does not store Git login credentials and has no feature that uploads repository contents to a Git Knock server. Remote providers process connections under their own policies.
System features and permissions
macOS handles notifications and login items. Sounds play locally. The store build reads an authorized SSH folder without copying private keys or automatically changing trusted hosts. macOS settings and permissions control notifications, login items and folder access.
